I never used to have deadlines. Not really. Things would get done when they got done. I might ‘promise’ to do something by a certain date and you know what? That date would come and go, and I’d still be working on the project or maybe even still at the ‘planning stage’. What a disaster! But not any more. Now I’ve learned that the only way to really achieve as much as I want to is to set deadlines and meet them, come hell or high water.
Being known as the kind of person who is true to deadlines means people come to view you as sincere, honest, reliable and ‘a safe pair of hands’. You get more work and have more opportunities and – what’s more – you gain self respect because a deadline is a promise to yourself and much as to anyone else.
Deadlines: To thine own self be true
While most people care about external deadlines, they tend to undervalue their own personal deadlines, their self-devised work schedule and the steps they’ll need to take to meet the external deadline. Some people don’t make proper plans for how they’ll meet the deadline at all, and just hope they’ll make the time somehow and get it done.
Other people set goals for each day, or each week, but then treat them as negotiable, and let themselves get distracted by other activities, like internet sites, phone calls, or other tasks that really could wait.
The new Meet Deadlines hypnosis session for hypnosisdownloads.com is designed to encourage a natural respect and capacity for setting and sticking to deadlines in whatever area of progression and achievement they might relate to.
All the best
