I must confess that personally I’ve always been motivated to exercise. I start to feel a little ‘weird’ if I don’t get active often. But I know that for millions of people exercise motivation is a real problem. Of course, we all know all the benefits of exercise. Better sex life, increased attractiveness, better functioning heart, lungs, skin, eyes and even brain (increased blood and oxygen flow to the brain after exrcise).
Short term exercise enthusiasm vs long term exercise habit
The motivation for us at hypnosisdownloads.com in producing the hypnotic session Exercise motivation was to find a way to turn short term enthusiasm to exercise into long term ‘it’s just what I do!’ motivation to keep exercising without constantly having to be fired up all the time to actually do it. Imagine if you had to be constantly motivated and fired up to clean your teeth, or wash your hands after going to the bathroom. These are just things you naturally do without thinking about it (I’m guessing and hoping here – help me out a bit!).
Exercise motivation as habit
When it becomes more normal to exercise than not to exercise then you know you have a habit that will help you at any age you happen to be. Habitual motivation to exercise means that 60-year-olds will be much more like 50-year-olds or even 45-year-olds who take less exercise. Historically, people didn’t have to think so much about exercise motivation. The vast majority of the population had to walk long distances regularly, work in physically demanding jobs, and eat natural unprocessed foods. Although ignorance about diet, or lack of means, meant that people were not always as healthy as they might have been, their levels of physical fitness were generally high. Nowadays, if we choose, we barely have to raise a sweat and therefore we become physically what we were never meant to be. Obese, old way before our time, stiff and weak of muscle.
Obesity, inactivity and health
There isn’t so much a tide of inactivity-related ailments and illnesses going on around us as a tsunami. If I get ill, I really don’t want it to be because I couldn’t be bothered to get up off my —–. We’ve had wonderful feedback from people who have got on really well with exercise motivation and found their lives physically and psychologically transformed. It’s gratifying to know that this session really can really help stem the flow of inactivity-related disease.
