I love it when people recall my name and hate it when they don’t and I’m not alone in this. If you’re a reader of our monthly newsletter Inspired Minds, you’ll know we run a regular ’suggest a download’ competition where you can win an mp3 player. We’ve had a few requests over the years for a ‘Remembering peoples’ names’ download, so we decided it was time.
Actually this was a lot of fun to do. Memory itself is pretty hypnotic. How? Well first something has to be ‘programmed’ into you - this is the initial laying down of memory, and this works in a similar way to a hypnotic suggestion.
Then you need to recall the name on a given trigger (such as seeing the person again). You want their name to automatically pop into your head - this works just like a post hypnotic suggestion. So this new hypnotic session teaches a method of instantly recalling names so that recalling names becomes second nature.
Weirdly (or perhaps not) I have been recalling names much better since writing and recording Remember people’s names, much to the amusement of my collegues at hypnosisdownloads.com who were always ribbing me about forgetting names….isn’t that right Bill, ah John, Chris….ah Roger!
I’ll be back soon with another new download announcement,
Mark
