Old age isn’t stiffness of the body. It’s stiffness of the mind! Life - and other people - can be, well, so serious sometimes! People think it’s ‘grown up’, or ‘adult’, to believe that (and act as if) for something to be important it has to be serious, unsmiling, and structured in an obviously logical, rational way.
Yet a great deal of human advancement occurs because of creative leaps which require spontaneous thinking. Einstein first famously had his inspiration for his theory of relativity while daydreaming and fantasizing about riding on a beam of light. Playful people are spontaneous for the sake of it, because it’s fun. They don’t have a fixed ‘purpose’ in mind when they play. They are humorous, creative thinkers and, of course, tend to be socially magnetic and charismatic too, as playfulness is infectious. And the side-effects are amazing. Playfulness keeps us young and flexible in our approach to life, physically and mentally. And, even though we engage in it purely for the fun of it, some of the most brilliant ideas ever generated came not out of sitting down and scratching our heads in a serious manner but out of playing with ideas for a laugh.
Hypnosis and playfulness
In actual fact, even the most constrained, serious and long-faced among us have an undeniably creative and playful part of the mind. Every night we all make believe in incredibly realistic ways through the ‘dream machinery’ of our minds. Hypnosis is the activation of the REM (rapid eye movement) brain state, and therefore is akin to dreaming outside of sleep. The perfect, wonderfully relaxed, state of mind and body to access and develop playfulness so that it can enrich relationships, work life and… well, everything! It can bring the same kind of light to life that very young children have when they play for play’s sake.
The new hypnosisdownloads.com session Be more playful will help people reconnect with their playful selves for more fun, creativity and energy.
